Northrend

It has been established now that leveling from 60-70 in Outlands will be faster after the release of Wrath of the Lich King. Many Beta testers who started Death Knights at level 55 have stated that the XP need to level is about a quarter less than normal, but some tester have gone as far as to say that the xp needed is about half of what is needed at present. I’m sure Blizz will play about with the exact amount to make sure that you don’t just blast through the area on your way to Northrend.

In a previous post about northrend regions and the levels, I mentioned that the developers wanted to slow you down in Northrend so you could appreciate the hard work they have done in creating this stunningly visual area. Well one way they are doing this to increase the xp you need to level in Northrend. WowInsider has reported that you need double the xp per level as in the previous expansion. WOW! that is a lot of questing and killin’ to get just one level. On a positive note on this increase in xp requirement only the truly hard core players will be there at level 80 for a while as other casual players try desperately to get a level every two weeks. No - wait - maybe that’s a negative point! Anyway nothing is set in stone yet as this is still only BETA but I do hope Blizz think about the casual players when adjusting the xp to level amounts.
