WotLK Leveling Guide

OK so it’s now official that Wrath of the Lich King will be released on November the 13th. So time to start getting your stuff in order and preparing for the next big thing in World of Warcraft. For many the release of the expansion will be a time to explore new content and follow along with the WoW Lore but for others it will be a race to get to level 80. A good WotLK leveling guide will no doubt help this but at the moment there are none released.

Joans’s Horde Leveling Guide has been the best on the market by far for many years and now the creators of this guide have a WotLK Beta key and are at this very moment writing the new WotLK leveling guide for Northrend. The down side to this is that Joana is for the Horde! Meaning that they have never, and will never, produce an alliance leveling guide. Go to the page and scroll down to the bottom you’ll find a link to their WotLK leveling guide.

Brian Kopp’s Leveling Guide is the Alliance equivalent to Joana’s Horde leveling guide. It it’s a alliance leveling guide your after then this would be the one i would recommend however I haven’t heard anything about a WotLK leveling guide being released or even in the works. No doubt the owners of Brian Kopp’s leveling guide will be talking about this in the private members forum, maybe they already have a WotLK leveling guide in there, fortunately for me however, like Joana, I’m for the Horde!

I have found many others warcraft leveling guides in the market and most are good. They do exactly as they say on the tin and help you level faster across Azeroth and the Outland, but for me Joana’s leveling guide has been invaluable and others that have used Brian Kopp’s alliance leveling guide say the same.

Have you ever used a leveling guide? Do you plan to get a WotLK leveling guide? If not I guess I’ll see you at level 80 someday :D

  1. Hi there, if you search http://www.curse.com after the mod “Quest helper”, then u have almost a leveling guide.
You pick up all quests you can and Quest Helper will show on map where they are etc.

    Cheers, nicedrood

  2. Hi Nicedrood

Thanks for the tip about quest helper, i’ve never used that one but have tried Carbonite. It also shows you quest items and paths on a minimap it creates and it helps in battlegrounds as well.

p.s. some really nice sigs you have there on your web site. You charging to make them or just do it for friends?

  3. Hi Jorja, I found a leveling guide at http://www.wotlkleveling.com recently and was planning to level with it, but I cannot compare to Brian’s Guide because I have never bought it. Has anyone tried this guide on beta and can give me some feedback?
    Thanks.

  4. Theres a site that has an entire 70-80 guide posted - http://www.wtbblue.com - its pretty comprehensive. I know wowpro will also be releasing the first 4 zones on november 13th.

  5. [...] had some emails and comments on the WotLK Leveling Guide post about web sites that are offering you a chance to start reading about what quests to do and in [...]

  6. I personally use http://www.wrathguide.com
It only has the first 2 zones out but it covers things in great detail. The site though is slow to come out with updates but all the guides are very detailed and complete.

http://www.wtbblue.com is also very good. It’s more summarized with less detail but has complete guides for leveling and all the dungeons already.

Wow-pro also releases a free guide. It’s nice and detailed but the organization and layout of the site, I get lost and it hurts my head reading sometimes.

  7. Wrathguide has taken wotlk guides down because of bandwidth issues so couldn’t check it. Hope they get it up again soon.

I so agree with you about wow-pro the layout makes my eyes bleed but the information is there it just hurts to get it :-)

  8. Allies gonna have hard time to level up on the new area for sure hehe, after I leveled up to 80 my daily PVP quest will be to farm them there.

  9. These guides are a waste of money. You still have to look up the guide which means you have to read something while playing. If you want to level fast then you just need the Questhelper addon, nothing else.

  10. Hi ther i know alot of of you will desgree with me but outlands quests are 10times better in outlands one camp is enough to ding 2levels but in Northrend you have to go to 10camps just to ding 1 level beofre any one say am whiner think agin for example ther is like 100quest in area 52 smv and more in NOrthrwend ther is none like that and were eve ryou go 70-80 al quests only give same XP 20k:(

  11. To level fast all you really need is thottbot… Everything else wastes time. except perhaps the quest helper, but theres realy no need in even that. QUEST! I was wondering how many of you have deathknights and what build worked best for you. please let me know
